STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. — Suburban voters south and east of Atlanta are voting to replace a member of Congress who died last week, U.S. Rep. David Scott. Even though he died a few days ago, the late Democrat is still listed on early voting ballots as the incumbent congressman.
US Democratic Rep. David Scott, who represented Georgia’s 13th Congressional District, has died at 80 years old.
The lawmaker, who had served in the chamber since 2003, was seeking a 13th term in his safely Democratic district.
