The European Union on Tuesday said that it had sent power generators to Ireland after Storm Eowyn cut electricity to hundreds of thousands of people.
The UK has lifted its windfall tax on older renewable, nuclear and biomass generators from 45% to 55%, while Ireland has deferred a scheduled carbon tax increase for consideration in October’s budget.
