Running VMWare Workstation on Win10 Pro. Have an VM on a SSD (the VM is OSX but that doesn't matter here.) Have a 4 TB physical HDD with 3 partitions: HFS+ for apple, AFPS for apple, NTFS for Win10.
Does it make a difference? We are a VMware shop with a couple 100 Ubuntu Server VMs (10.04 & 12.04) I pretty much assume that ext4 is the way to go but I'd be interested in any rational arguments ...
