The last blue beauty anole (Anolis equestris potior) hatched this morning. This is an endangered subspecies of the common Cuban knight anole (Anolis equestris). Unlike its wide ranging cousin, the blue beauty anole is only found on one small island off the coast of Cuba. Less than ten years ago this species was nonexistent in herpetoculture but thanks to the efforts of a small number of breeders they have become almost commonplace.
