Yes this was taken from the public stairs by Haystack Rock. Those are big logs that easily weigh hundreds of pounds that are rolling in the surf. This is why it always is good practice to watch what the conditions are for 5 to 10 minutes before going out on the beach. Yesterday was a bit of a bust for our first day of King Tides for December. Its a good example of how many factors need to be present to create dramatic wave action that so many hope for during a King Tide event. We will be out again later today to see what today will bring.
