PennDOT has announced a project to reconstruct a 4 1/2 Mile section of Route 61 between St. Clair and Frackville, also known as the Frackville Grade. The total reconstruction of both northbound and southbound involves the replacement of the existing pavement, shoulder, drainage, guide rail, pavement markings and signing.
