Today June 3rd Haiti makes history yet again at the first ever Haitian Heritage Parade to take place in NYC! The inaugural parade themed, “Haiti, Mother of Freedom” marks the return of Afro Caribbean culture in Manhattan in almost 60 years and will be the first time in history that an Afro Caribbean nation will parade in Manhattan on its own! On June 3rd, the Inaugural Haitian Heritage Parade took place in Manhattan, New York. The much-anticipated Haitian Heritage Parade was the grandstand of the month-long Haitian Heritage Month celebration in New York City. The theme of the parade was "Haiti, Mother of Freedom" and it featured allegorical floats representing different periods of Haitian history.
