I learned about this surgical tape for pattern alterations from Kelli @truebias and it is a game changer. I like pressing my pattern pieces before cutting my fabric. When I use regular or magic tape, I don’t press on top of the tape to prevent melting it and distorting pattern paper. I’ve heard you can use a press cloth when using regular tape too, but I like this tape because it’s softer and folds better. Also, if I make a mistake while altering my pattern, this tape is much easier to remove. Y
