Visiting artist JJ Harty held a demo on sand casting for some of our art students this week! Students in Dustin Regul’s 3D Foundations class have been learning about sand casting this quarter. Sand casting is a manufacturing process in which liquid metal is poured into a sand mold (which contains a hollow cavity of a shape) and then allowed to solidify.
