The Commonwealth Bank Cycle Classic was a nine day stage race that ran from 1982 - 2000. Using various routes in NSW and the ACT, the classic attracted Australia’s elite amateurs and a star studded international line up. I had the honour of competing in the classic in 1997 and 1998. With ABC television coverage, being a part of the Commonwealth Bank’s own team for two years in a row was something very special.
