I like the Spoc as a backup for top rope soloing—it’s easy to disable the hold-open feature by cutting the cord that locks the cam open. So why not run two Spocs, or put the Spoc on top? Because the Spoc’s cam sticks out farther, and it can jam against the lower device, stopping both from auto-feeding. This is annoying mid-climb! For smoothest feeding, keep the Spoc as your backup and run a Microtraxion on top instead. | Avant Climbing Innovations
