Eye patching is the conventional method that doctors use to manage amblyopia or lazy eye. The patch is used to cover the stronger eye that has better vision so that the weaker eye with blurry vision is forced to function or work and not be “lazy”. However, this method only allows the eyes to function one at a time. Hence, it does not help rehabilitate binocular vision which is the brain’s ability to perceive and combine two visual inputs from the two eyes. Binocular vision is what helps our eyes
