Ingoldsby Reef is a rocky outcrop about 1.2km off the coast from Anglesea. In all my years snorkelling and freediving along the surfcoast, this is only the second time the weather has been calm enough in both wind and swell to paddle out there. This reef is the resting place of the steel barque "Inverlochy" that wrecked there in 1902 en route to Melbourne. Unlike most of the shipwrecks along this coastline, it struck the reef in calm conditions. The reef itself comes up to just centimeters below
