Bucklers Hard oozes history- its most well known for its Naval history. This in the 18th century, was a shipbuilding village that built a number of ships, including Agamemnon, which fought at Trafalgar. This workers cottage was initially turned into a school in the 1840s, hosting the occasional church service on a Wednesday from the 1880s. It then became a fully blessed chapel when the school closed and continues to be used today! What do we reckon of the hidden cellar? I’d love to think of smug
