Dropped some rusty parts in vinegar-filled bags, sealed them, and placed them in the ultrasonic cleaner for two 30-minute runs — then let them sit a day. The result? Super clean metal, most of the rust converted to black oxide. Still slow-acting, but vinegar’s gentle acidity makes it safe and effective.
